Brett's birthday and program

Brett's birthday was a pretty exciting day. He had his spring program at school, so they were free to leave afterward and I took the afternoon off so we could play for a few hours. We went bowling, out for ice cream, to Sport's Page for supper, and then grandparents came over for cake. I can't believe my baby is 6 years old!!! Of course, Brett got some presents too....much to my dismay his first BB gun for use strictly WITH Dan....Dan swears he had one at his age. Yikes.

Somewhere under the rainbow....

We were driving home yesterday from work and Brett spotted a rainbow. He was so excited b/c this was his first "true rainbow" he'd ever seen (real rainbow). We had to stop and take a couple of photos before it disappeared. You could see it all the way from one side to the other- even though you can't tell in these photos. It was beautiful. You know the saying..."take time to stop and smell the roses"...we changed it to "take time to stop and take pictures of the rainbow"!!

Our little Picaso!

Brett had his artwork chosen to be on display at the mall....so we had to go and check it out. Here's Brett with his artwork AND on the same wall we found Emma's artwork as well! (Emma is Brett's cousin, my brother's daughter).

Happy Easter

We had a great Easter. We started with the 3rd annual Maehl Easter Egg hunt at Rachel and Ryan's house. The kids had a ball finding over 450 eggs in the yard, trees, porch, fence...pretty much anywhere eggs could be hidden! Then Sunday AM we went to church at 7:00 and even managed to peek at the baskets and take a few photos looking spiffy in the easter outfits before church! We spent the day at Mark and Pat's enjoying the company of the family, eating, and playing games and outside. Then we were off to my mom and dad's house for dinner, more playing and visiting. We all hit the hay exhausted last night! Here are some photos of those celebrations and dying eggs. Hope you all had a blessed Easter and are feeling particularly thankful for the gift of forgiveness.
