Our first full day in Florida- we decided to go to the Animal Kingdom. When you stay at a Disney resort, there are extra early morning hours and late evening hours for just resort guests and Monday was early hours at Animal Kingdom. So we got there by 8 when it opened- ready to roll!! It was a super foggy morning (we were told one of the foggiest in a long time there) so it made some of the pictures of the safari turn out kind of eerie looking. But it burned off pretty quickly and by 9:15 it was clear skies. We went on the Kilimanjaro safari  first (b/c it's one of the most popular) to avoid the lines and walked right one. We explored the Animal Kindgdom all day- favorites being the Kilimanjaro safari, Finding Nemo- the musical (sooo cool), Brett liked the scary DINOSAUR ride (Claire- not so much- there were some tears- we felt really bad for taking her on it- not realizing how scary it was!), and the Festival of the Lion King show. After that we went back to the resort for an afternoon swim and then we headed to the Magic Kingdom for an amazing evening. We had time to check out a few attractions before heading to the castle to wait for the parade. We checked out the Swiss Family Robinson tree house and visited the Princesses and Mickey and Minnie. The light parade was cool (Claire slept through it in the stroller!), but the laser show on the side of the castle was AMAZING and the fireworks were spectacular! TRULY a magical thing to see for all ages :) (Sorry the pics skip around a lot- can't seem to get them to load in order!?)
