Brett's tubes- #3

Brett had to get his 3rd set of tubes on Monday. It's been a while (1st set at 9 months and 2nd at 18 months) so it was a different experience this time around. He kept telling me that he was going to be brave, but each time he said it, he got tears in his eyes.... so I was doubtful that was going to work out. BUT, he did great. He just walked off with the surgery nurse and anesthesia guy- no tears or even a glance back at mom and dad! I can't believe how brave he was- I was SO proud! He got a little sick afterward from the anesthesia, but overall, it went quite well.

Family weekend at Juvenile Diabetes walk

This past weekend, the entire Thompson family headed to Des Moines to participate in a walk to raise money for juvenile diabetes. We had a ton of fun doing the walk and just hanging with the family.... between us we have 8 kids under the age of 9! Busy, busy, busy and fun, fun, fun!

Silly faces- Silly kids!

Just a few silly face photo ops! :)

Little Picasos!

Brett and Claire had some painting/finger painting fun this past weekend. Here are some photos of the excitement!

Claire's potty time....

Well, she's so interested... but we've had no success so far. She sits on the potty for a while, then gets up and pees or poos on the floor!! At least she looks cute doing it!! :)

Snow much fun!

On one of the nice days last week, Brett, Claire, Dan, and I headed outside for some sledding, snowman making fun! It was Brett's first snowman and he was thrilled with it.... we put a carrot for the nose, fruit snack eyes, raisins for the smile and Brett's scarf. He was so pleased....until we let the dog out and he ate the entire head off!!! Brett was so upset!

Claire was not thrilled with the snow.... until she realized that she could eat it! (Yuck!) Then, she was all about it! And she always loves riding the four-wheeler!
