Brett's 5th birthday!

It's hard to believe that our first baby is 5 already! He celebrated at his birthday party (actually a couple of days before his birthday) today. He had a ball at his baseball themed party. We had a baseball cake and Brewers game playing... we planned on having a family baseball game, but the weather didn't hold out for those plans! So we had some indoor fun instead with bingo and toy time, in addittion to some Brewers baseball. Brett was thrilled with his gifts.... a new REAL baseball bat (no plastic or nerf here, folks!), a tool box full of tools and gadgets, some fun games, and a wii singing game :) Now he can't wait to play.... but first, he fell asleep on the couch with Daddy! A birthday party takes it out of ya!!

Big 2 year old!

Claire turned 2 last weekend. Here are a few pictures of the festivities (I need to get some off my mom's camera too!). She had a Curious George party and had a great time with her cousins :) She loved her all her presents....Pinkalicious book, look-a-like Cabbage Patch doll (Lori), her new doll house, pj's and jacket. Fun, Fun, Fun! My mom and I tried to decorate the cake- made a double decker round cake with Curious George on the top. I think we did a pretty decent job... I'll try it again! We can't believe our BABY is 2!!! Yikes!

Brett's tubes- #3

Brett had to get his 3rd set of tubes on Monday. It's been a while (1st set at 9 months and 2nd at 18 months) so it was a different experience this time around. He kept telling me that he was going to be brave, but each time he said it, he got tears in his eyes.... so I was doubtful that was going to work out. BUT, he did great. He just walked off with the surgery nurse and anesthesia guy- no tears or even a glance back at mom and dad! I can't believe how brave he was- I was SO proud! He got a little sick afterward from the anesthesia, but overall, it went quite well.

Our little girl...

Claire is a sweet, funny little girl. Here are some of her funny moments....

Family weekend at Juvenile Diabetes walk

This past weekend, the entire Thompson family headed to Des Moines to participate in a walk to raise money for juvenile diabetes. We had a ton of fun doing the walk and just hanging with the family.... between us we have 8 kids under the age of 9! Busy, busy, busy and fun, fun, fun!
